Hailing from the musically rich city of "Brotherly Love" - Philadelphia, PA - saxophonist and vocalist Steven B. has resided in the Washington DC metro area since 1986. Armed with his horn by his side, he has performed and entertained audiences throughout the area as well as nationwide. He has performed with Miki Howard, Norman Connors, Michael Henderson, Anthony Hamilton, Malcolm Jamal-Warner, The Last Poets, Billy Paul and others. Influenced musically by John Coltrane, Frank Morgan, Grover Washington Jr., Gerald Albright and Kirk Whalum, his musical saxophone sound has been described as "spiritually soothing and edgy all at the same time." In addition to his instrumental talents, he is an excellent vocalist, possessing a lush and beautiful tenor range making him a "double threat" on stage.
