"Meet Woz"

Steve Wozniak will be the guest speaker during the Commonwealth Club of Silicon Valley event held at the Santa Clara Marriott (in the Grand Ballroom).

Mr. Wozniak is a prankster and is credited as the person who, around 1975, designed and created the first 'computer' with a keyboard and TV screen (rather than a box with switches on it). He also did it with fewer chips than any other 'computer' during this time. This 'computer' is now known as the Apple I and the rest is history.

Mr. Wozniak is on a book tour to promote his autobiography titled "iWoz: From Computer Geek to Cult Icon: How I Invented the Personal Computer, Co-Founded Apple, and Had Fun Doing It." The book is co-written with Gina Smith.

Details are sketchy for this event, as I could not find much information about it online. On Mr. Wozniak's webpage, this event is to be held in the Grand Ballroom with the program starting at 7:00pm and the book signing starting at 8:00pm.

I assume this event will be paid seating with ticket prices TBD as this event is not listed (yet) on the Commonwealth Club of SV website.
