Steve Reich, an experimental 20th-century new-music composer, has inspired artists as disparate as Brian Eno and Sufjan Stevens. This weekend's STEVE REICH FESTIVAL celebrates his 70th birthday with a series of events including a Sun., April 8, early music-and-film showcase at Eyedrum; a Tues., April 10, performance of his "Drumming" piece by acclaimed Brooklyn quartet So Percussion; and a Wed., April 11, concert of his chamber works by Bent Frequency.
