Actor-comedian-writer Steve Martin has been playing banjo since he was 17. For over three years the funny man has been performing with The Steep Canyon Rangers at major festivals such as Bonnaroo, The Newport Folk Festival and New Orleans' Jazzfest. Their album 'Rare Bird Alert' debuted at the top of the Billboard's Bluegrass Chart and at number 43 on the Billboard Top 200. It features 13 new songs written by Martin, including a live version of 'King Tut,' and special guest vocals from Paul McCartney and the Dixie Chicks.
