Stepping Westward June 5, 2011

Stepping Westward, a concert of dreams and determination - tenderness and illumination. At the center of our program is featured composer Libby Larsen's "Stepping Westward" with oboe, hand bells, and marimba celebrating the resourcefulness and strength of women. Also included will be music from our folk history - we'll step lively with a fiddle! Joining us is the Acalanes High School Bella Voce and Miramonte High School Women's Ensemble unveiling our third year Youth Inspiring Youth premieres, "A Precious Pearl" by Lauren McLaren and "Moon Songs" by Nick Norton.
