Stop and Look: A Buddhist Response to the dilemma of being human :
Stephen Batchelor left England for India in 1972 to study Buddhism. Trained as a monk in both the Tibetan and Zen traditions, he has translated and authored several books, including the bestselling "Buddhism without Beliefs"(Bloomsbury). Widely renowned as a leading teacher and interpreter of Buddhism, Stephen proposes an agnostic-atheist understanding of what Siddhattha Gotama taught. This conversation with the Guardian columnist and associate editor Madeleine Bunting will focus on Stephens personal journey to articulate the relevance of the Buddhas teaching for those seeking spiritual direction in a modern, secular society.
