This 3-hour class will begin with a one hour digital slide
presentation on the art form. Using the framework of the Manic D Press
book "Stencil Nation" author Russell Howze will talk about the
history, the techniques, and the artists who are working with stencils
today. The last two hours will be a stencil skillshare. Open for all
experience levels, attendees will spend the time asking questions,
sharing work, and sharing tips and stories that can help us all become
better with our stencil-making skills. Computers will not be used for
this workshop, allowing for the development of the other skills needed
to make, cut, and paint a stencil. Russell will either be cutting an
ongoing project during the workshop, or bring some of his work to share.

Bring whatever you can, although iimited supplies will be available-- xacto knives, scrap board paper (cereal
boxes, pressed board, etc.), pencils and pens, spray paint.

Slide Presentation: FREE
Workshop/Skillshare: $5-10 sliding scale (NOTA)
