The Society for Technical Communication (STC) India chapter is
organizing an action packed CAREER DAY for technical writing
professionals at the Taj Gateway Hotel, Bangalore on 28th July 2007.
Use this opportunity to learn all that you wanted to know and more
about technical writing as a career.

The STC India Career Day has the following activities lined up for you:

* A Resume Writing Primer (by Vasudha Rangarajan)

Ever wondered why you did not receive that interview call despite
meeting and surpassing the job requirements? Perhaps the answer lies in your resume. Discover how to craft that killer resume, in the
resume writing primer.

* Salary Survey Results (by Sandhya Prasad)

The long wait is finally over! Career Day will witness the unveiling
of the much anticipated STC India Salary Survey 2007. In addition to
the salary vs. experience, and salary vs. location data, this year's
survey also tells you about the average tenure of a technical
communicator with a single employer, the factors that lead to a
job-change, and correlation of salary with total working experience.

* Choose Your Career Paths - Panel Discussion (Gururaj BS, Sai
Kavitha, Manjula Kandula)

Decide which career ladder you want to climb, after listening to our
star-studded panel. This panel will take you through the technical,
managerial, and business opportunities in technical writing.

Career Day will also provide you a platform to meet with employers.
