State Farm Claim Management and Agency Representatives address specific issues related to diversity in corporate America:

* Understand the culture/environment and learn what is acceptable and welcomed.
* Watch-Look-and-See for biases of racism, homophobia, religion, disability and others and learn how to respond.
* Realize what language (verbal and non-verbal) you are speaking.
* Learn how to reduce communication barriers by understanding cross-cultural communication.
* Gain knowledge about the three types of mentors: those who give information, those who advocate, and those who provide emotional and social support. Hear how important it is to permit your mentor/advocate to be constructively honest with giving you feedback about critical issues such as wardrobe, grammar, work ethic, etc.
