State Fair of Virginia 9/24 - 10/4 2009 September 23, 2009

Virginia’s largest 11 day fair presented in a new rural setting. This year's fair offers great family entertainment with hundreds of farm animals, daily free shows, arts & crafts, 4 H & Agricultural exhibits, horticultural displays, big name entertainment, concerts & so much more.

Featured attractions include: Championship Bull Riding, One Arm Bandit Hafltime Show, Mutton Busting, High School Rodeo, Tractor Pulls, & Demolition Derby Jason Michael Carroll, Dean Brody, Percy Sledge, Plain White T‘s, Randy Houser, Luke Bryan, Joey Page & V Factory, US Navy Fleet Forces Band, US Army James River Ramblers Band & more. The fair opens daily at 10am and closes at approximately 11pm-Rain or Shine. Admission is $11 weekdays( $8 after 5pm.) Weekends is $13. Parking is $5.Ride tickets cost $1 each or $20 for a sheet of 25 tickets. (Wristbands for unlimited rides cost $19 for anyone between 7 and 59, and $15 for ages 3-6, 60-plus and disabled visitors.)
