Hey and Hansen have always been a priceless Berlin oddity. The project
has its tentacles clawed into some of the cities best known underground
establishments with long-term connections and afiliations alongside
numerous labels, the Hard Wax axis, Iceland's ecclectic Mum collective
and yet their music has resolutely singled itself out from the crowd.
For the last 10 years Hey & Hansen have delicately developed their love
of alpine folk, accordions and dub traditions into a hybrid of gypsy
accoustics and effervescent electronic tinkerings. The results have
never been anything less than captivating, with even hardened dubstep
casualties unable to resist its originality and endless charm.
hey-o-hansen are presenting the 5th 12inch single of the collectors'
series 'hey-o-hansen - the singles 2006' and are on their way to promote
their next project: they are building a studio and live music club in
accra, ghana. you never know exactly what will happen next and you are
allowed to dance.

DJ MULTIPARA (BERLIN / LUX NIGRA)

multipara is an amateur. he spends his days clicking and dragging the
mouse, occasionally in kreuzberg or prenzlauer berg, but mostly at home
in neukölln, where guests would sleep on top of a thousand copies of lux
nigra vinyls. he probably spent some time at university, and learned to
read and to write, but that's a lot of trouble. as often as possible, he
doesn't listen to any music, but he enjoys spinning records, and because
you can hear that, people let him. sometimes someone kicks his ass, and
then he even makes his own music. as far as dubstep is concerned: he
thinks it's alright, but he doesn't have a clue.
multipara ist ein amateur. die tage bringt er zu mit mausclicken und
mausziehen, zuweilen in kreuzberg oder prenzlauer berg, meist aber
zuhause in neukölln. gäste schlafen dort auf tausend schallplatten des
labels lux nigra. irgendwann war er wahrscheinlich auch mal auf der uni,
und hat da lesen und schreiben gelernt, aber das ist anstrengend. so oft
es geht, hört er keine musik, aber auflegen tut er gern, und weil man
das merkt, lässt man ihn auch. manchmal tritt ihn jemand in den arsch,
und dann macht er sogar selber musik.
