Starbucks “Book Break” discussion featuring Ishmael Beah, author of A Long Way Gone March 8, 2007

Author Ishmael Beah will discuss his memoir, A Long Way Gone, a first-hand account of Beah’s experience as a child soldier in the war-torn country of Sierra Leone. Philadelphia is one of 10 cities in the nationwide book tour sponsored by Starbucks.

Starbucks will donate $2 for every copy of A Long Way Gone sold at Starbucks to the U.S. fund for UNICEF, with a minimum donation of $100,000.
