Opportunity for observing stars and planets in this dark sky site, weather permitting. A lecture plus advice for anyone interested in taking up stargazing and/or astrophotography in undercover area.
The event will go ahead whatever the weather.
Feel free to bring your own telescopes, if you need help with setting them up and using them.
There will be opportunity to benefit from the expertise of several members of the Society who have achieved prominence in the field of astrophotography through exploiting the relatively recent advances in CCD imaging which has brought professional results within the grasp of the amateur astronomer.
