The highly acclaimed Stanford-Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble presents its Spring Concert at the Campbell Recital Hall. The repertoire will include songs by Willie Colon, Albita, Hector Lavoe, Jesus Diaz, Ralph Irizarry, Issac Delgado, John Calloway and Wayne Wallace.

The group played to a sold out audience for their recent Winter concert so be sure to get your tickets early!

The band has been recipient of numerous grants and awards and has been mentored by several luminaries in the field such as Ray Vega, Andrea Brachfeld, John Santos, John Calloway, Wayne Wallace, Jesus Diaz.

Directed by Grammy-nominated pianist Murray Low, the group performs classic and contemporary works from both the Latin and North American songbook. The group plays music from the entire spectrum of Afro-Latin music and jazz, including son-montuno, rumba, timba, comparsa, songo, salsa, boleros, jazz and funk. The music is for both dancing and listening and is guaranteed to get you moving.
