Author and Mass Audubon educator John Galluzzo spent 2009 on the trails, compiling his thoughts for his book Half an Hour a Day on Foot: An Obsessive Exploration of the Nature of the South Shore of Boston. In 2010, he stood still. - - By doing so, he reversed the course of his nature education. In 2009, he chased down nature; in 2010, he let nature come to him. Join him as he discusses his new book, Standing Still for Ten Minutes a Day: My Year as a Citizen Scientist (One Man, Wicked Lots of Data), and runs through eagle counts, salamander coverboard studies, breeding bird atlasing in Canada and more.
