Steve Shanyaski
In 2003, Steve stood up, unchained himself from his desk and walked out of a mind-numbing logistics job in order to pursue a career in comedy - and has never looked back.
Within months of his comedic birth he made it through to the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedian of the Year, the North West Comedian of the Year Final, and later that year he had the honour of appearing on the BBC7 Radio Showcase "Spanking New".

Peter Slater
Peter was a regular performer and writer for 'The Un-broadcast-able Radio Show', a monthly show at Manchester's Comedy Store which was nominated for Best Writing and Best Live Show at the North West Comedy Awards 2004 and 2005. A Radio 4 pilot of the show was recorded earlier this year.

Fern Brady
Former comedy reviewer Fern Brady first tried stand-up after the magazine she worked for suggested she write an article where she 'faked it' as a comedian.  Consequently, her first gig was in front of 150 people at the Gilded Balloon amidst a bill of heavyweights compered by Phil Nichol and Tiffany Stevenson. She enjoyed it so much that one year later, she tried it again and within ten gigs had hastily quit her post at Fest magazine to feature in the Absolute Best of Absolute Beginners at the Edinburgh Fringe, a showcase for new Scottish talent.

Compere ... Kiri Pritchard-Mclean
Kiri is fast becoming a well known fixture on the North West's comedy circuit and not just because of her obnoxious name. A finalist in the Comedy Store's fearsome King Gong on her first gig has clearly stood her in good stead. She went on to become the first act to win both the Manchester and Preston Beat the Frog competitions, and after just six months of performing regular stand-up comedy, Kiri beat over forty new comics to the title of C69 New Act of the Year 2010.
