CHICAGO, Ill - October 2009— In an effort to revive the stand-up comedy scene in the River North neighborhood of Chicago and to benefit local charity Imerman Angels, Maven and Key Management is proud to present Stand Up Against Cancer

Stand Up Against Cancer features the best and brightest local Chicago comedians along with HEADLINER KIRA SOLTANOVICH - kiracomedy.com. The Joynt will also offer a full bar and a food menu.

Stand Up Against Cancer, an open-to-the-public event, is an opportunity for attendees to see several Chicago comics from all different backgrounds all while raising money for Imerman Angels. It’s also a great chance to catch headliner Kira Soltanovich who is coming into Chicago for this event. She is a Los Angeles based Comedian and Actress who has performed as the voice of the “Phony Photo Booth” sketches on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO, starred for all four seasons on the Oxygen network’s GIRLS BEHAVING BADLY and performs in Kiki Melendez’s live comedy production of The Hot Tamales which was taped and aired on SHOWTIME earlier this year.

Attendees will also be able to mingle, socialize and network before the show as well as meet and greet representatives from event sponsors Mint, Vreebit.com, Sergio and Banks and more.

The show will be hosted by Vince Carone who performs regularly at the Improv in Schaumburg and is fresh off performing on the Las Vegas Strip. Guest performers include “The Homeless Comic” Brian Neufang, Mike Maxwell, Prashanth Venkataramanujam from “The Brown Man Group” and Improv favorite Andrew Woodhull. The feature act of the night is Prescott Tolk who performed on Premium Blend on COMEDY CENTRAL.
