Celebrating 25 years of singing Nordic music, Stämbandet welcomes you to their silver anniversary season! Stämbandet features fifteen singers with a reputation for excellence both as an a cappella ensemble and a world music vocal group. Dedicated to the rich folk heritage of Scandinavia, the members of this unique ensemble have come from Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, and Finland and the United States, In 2004, Stämbandet will explore music where Nordic folk song and jazz come together, with results both electrifying and cool. Spellbinding music rarely heard outside of Scandinavia, performed by accomplished singers and instrumentalists.
