St Petersburg Academic Symphony; Xiayin Wang, Pianist October 11, 2011

The St. Petersburg Academic Symphony, under the leadership of Chief Conductor Alexander Titov and Principal Guest Conductor Vladimir Lande, is touring the U.S. for the first times since 1997 with piano virtuoso Xiayin Wang performing Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C, Op. 26. The orchestra will also perform two additional works at each concert, choosing from music by Mieczslaw Weinberg, Bernstein, Tchaikovsky, Glinka and Mussorgsky.
