Whether you call it XML-based computing, NetWeaver, AquaLogic, or .NET, service-oriented architecture (SOA) is the major new architectural paradigm of the moment. In this presentation, Hugh Taylor will explore the origins of the current SOA trend and the reasons for its popularity.
