Spruce Pine Pow Wow September 10, 2010

Fifth annual educational Native American Pow Wow. Lots of demonstrators in addition to the regular pow wow activities of dancing, drumming, singing, storytelling, flint knapping, tee pees, etc. Come early and stay all day. Directions: From Asheville, take I-26 north to Exit 9. Follow US19E north to Spruce Pine. Turn right on Hwy 226 South. Go 2 1/2 miles to 12513 S. Hwy 226 South. Pow Wow is behind Music Jewelry and Loan. From the East, take I-40 to Exit 86. Follow Hwy 226 north to Spruce Pine. When you cross under the Blue Ridge Parkway it will be 2 1/2 miles on the right behind Music, Jewelry and Loan.
