The theme for the Spring Sci-Fi Game is... HALO!

HALO (the video game) is the premise of the afternoon themed game. Details of the scenario are not being revealed at this time. However, there will be Humans, Spartans, and Elites on the field... against the FLOOD! Humans will take 3 shots to kill, Spartans and Elites 4 or 5 shots, and the Flood will take 8 shots... with 1 minute regeneration! It'll be a wild shooting game!
[The number of each type will be determined after the number of players coming for the day is known.]

How do you register and take part in this fun event???
It's all very simple! To keep up to date on the info and to be placed on the mailing list, just email Allan Seebach, the Organizer, at:

[email protected]
*** COSTS to play Paintball: ***
1. Field Pass:
This is about $10 (plus or minus). It includes Gun Rental, Mask, and Field Pass to play ALL DAY!!
2. Paintballs:
This is a variable cost, depending upon how much you shoot. Paintballs cost about $72/CASE, but one case can usually be split between about 3 people. And you can buy less than a case if you can't partner up, so don't worry.
3. Camos:
If you want, you can rent a set of camo overalls that fit over your jeans for about $7. Not mandatory, but it will save your clothes from getting filthy and you'll look cool. Or just wear your own camos or something you don't care to get really dirty.
4. Lunch:
You can bring your own lunch, or eat there. The food is decent, and it is cheap. Allocate about $6-10, depending upon how much you eat. Bring some bottled water to save some money on that.
So, if you have read this far, you're probably pretty interested in this. Here is where the fun REALLY starts...

*** Weekend Arrangements: ***

Sure, you can just show up on the morning of the game and play, but these weekends really shine around the PARTYING that occurs at night! Many people rent Houses in nearby Lake Harmony, PA. If this is something that interests you, feel free to contact Maryann Soriano @ 570-443-9555 and/or check out the website, www.prr1.com . Click the rentals button, and then choose what sized cabin you need, and choose "Lake Harmony Estates". You should try to rent near cabin LHE 909, since this is the USS Warhammer's main cabin, aka "Party Central". Some suggestions are: LHE 1004, 810, 808, 807P, as these are close by, close enough to walk between these cabins and "Party Central". When contacting Maryann, make sure to tell her you are with "Allan Seebach's Paintball group". You wont get a discount, but she will be able to point you in the right direction as to which cabins you might want to rent.

And, if you have read THIS far, maybe you want to know even more about these Paintball games, as well as get the sordid history of the "Star Trek/Sci-Fi Paintball Games"...

*** Background and History: ***

Allan Seebach and the USS Warhammer are now organizing "Sci-Fi Paintball", and revitalizing the big "Star Trek/Sci-Fi Paintball Games" that have been going on for over 10 years. At their zenith with Petey Christopoulos and the USS Tempest running the games, "Star Trek/Sci-Fi Paintball" in the Poconos drew as many as 200 players! Players in these games take on the personas of any of the major/minor factions within the Star Trek universe or any other Sci-Fi universe. It is limited only by your imagination.

Allan and his group are bringing back the big "Star Trek Paintball" game, which will have themed games featuring Star Trek and other Sci-Fi worlds. The USS Warhammer have put together this webpage, which has some of the information about their "Star Trek/Sci-Fi Paintball" games, so please visit:

http://scifipaintball.bravehost.com
The info on the page will be updated frequently, particularly with the people that are going, so check back often.

Allan and crew would like to get a tentative headcount of players ASAP, so that they can tell the field about how many people to expect and get the teams and scenario setup. To register to play, please email Allan ([email protected]) with
your name, ship name (if applicable), and anyone else that will be attending with you. While the count won't be set in stone yet, please
make your list as accurate as possible so he can get a reasonable headcount.

*** PARTYING! Maybe the real reason we go... :) ***

If you are interested in spending the weekend in the Poconos, there are some beautiful cabins located very close to Skirmish paintball. The USS Warhammer rents as many as THREE of them, some holding as up to 20 comfortably (yeah, these are BIG ski chalets, with many bedrooms, beds, and baths), so they alone bring 40+ people to hang out and party for the weekend. The USS Bounty rents a cabin, and we bring another 12-14 people. So, there is much partying and merriment to be had on Friday and Saturday nights. Oh yeah, and many of the cabins have HOT TUBS... Yeah, the partying opportunities are endless... :)

The cabin rental info is located at the "StarTrekPaintball" site above, or you can go directly to this link (and look under the "Lake Harmony Estates" heading):
www.prr1.com (This is the website for the rental agency from whom we rent the houses)

Again, we recommend staying close to house LHE 909, which is Party Central (the big Warhammer 20-person Cabin). The contact at the rental agency is Maryanne Soriano (800-444-3721, ext. 13), and she is very nice and will guide you to the perfect cabin for
your group. Her contact info is also on the Warhammer site and the rental property site.
