“Spring into Health” Aging-in-Place Health Fair April 19, 2012

The Center for Independent Living’s “Spring into Health” fair serves to increase disability awareness and sensitivity. During the event, attendees can take a hearing test to see if they qualify for free amplified telephones, speak with medical professionals to learn more about common health issues, and learn what resources are available to help people with disabilities live independently in their own homes. In addition, representatives from Pinnacle Land Corporation and A+ Home Aid will provide information regarding home modifications, and what qualifications should be considered when selecting a home care company. Information about free, personalized emergency preparedness plans from Nursing Home Transition Program will also be available. Attendees will also receive free smoothies from Planet Smoothie.
