Sports Auction & Card Show November 7, 2010

The Peoria Park District hosts the 13th Annual Sports Auction & Card Show on Sunday, November 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the RiverPlex. All proceeds benefit youth sports in Peoria.

Starting at 10:00 a.m., sports card collectors will be set up to buy, sell, or trade cards and collectibles. The silent auction items will also be open for bids.

A live auction at 2:00 p.m. will include autographed memorabilia, tickets and items donated by local businesses.

Raffle tickets are now on sale for $10 at the Glen Oak Park Pavilion or by calling 681-2868. The prizes include a baseball signed by Frank Thomas, a jersey signed by Ozzie Smith, and a jersey signed by Ryne Sandberg. Only 223 tickets will be sold for the raffle. Winners will be drawn at the end of the auction, and do not need to be present to win.
This is a great chance to find sports items and cards that are not available anywhere else in town. Admission is $1.00 for adults, and free for kids ages 12 and under. Don’t miss the best Sports Auction & Card Show in Peoria this year!
