SpookyWorld / Nightmare New England is scaring up donors for a blood drive on Monday, Oct. 25 from noon to 5 p.m. at City Hall Plaza in Boston.

The blood drive is being held in honor of local residents and pediatric cancer patients; Ashley Cashell, 5, of Tewksbury Mass.; Milana Rufo, 3, of Salem, N.H.; Gianna Martiniello, 9, of Stoneham, Mass.; Anthony Stancato, 7, of Stoneham, Mass.; Scott Einarson, 6, of Billerica, Mass.; and Jessica Downing, 16, of Wakefield, Mass.

SpookyWorld / Nightmare New England, the largest scream park in the Northeast, is taking over City Hall Plaza in Boston to offer an afternoon of ghoulish fun for kids while parents donate life-saving blood to Boston’s Children’s Hospital.

Children will have their faces painted by one of SpookyWorld / Nightmare New England’s top make-up artists. They will paint pumpkins, make masks, and go home with bags of treats. Especially created family-friendly characters from SpookyWorld / Nightmare New England will be on site to entertain the children and a DJ will spin spooky tunes. Children are encouraged to come in costume.

In further effort to raise money for Children’s Hospital, SpookyWorld / Nightmare New England is also donating parking lot proceeds generated at the scream park during the month of October to the hospital.

Blood drive hours of operation are Monday, Oct. 25 from noon to 5 p.m., The “Spooky” blood drive, with fun and treats for children, will begin at 2 p.m. at One City Hall Plaza, Boston, Mass. All successful donors will receive a gift from Children’s Hospital. Walk-ins are welcome, or to make an appointment please call 617-355-1997.
