Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath is showcasing masterpiece paintings of Pratiksha Apurv, niece & disciple of great visionary OSHO. Pratiksha has been blessed with creativity and has carved a niche for herself in different artistic endeavors, including being a highly successful fashion designer who chose to shun publicity and quietly went about doing what she does best - artistic design.

She has been exhibiting new theme and phenomenon of modern art in all of her exhibition. Meditation, Vedic mantras and peace have been the main characters of her artwork. In Banglore, Pratiksha will showcase some glimpse of cosmic and earthly fusion along with Buddhism and Vaishnav philosophy of love.
One of the rare works of her “The New Dawn” will be unveiled in Banglore exhibition, which will explain the greater thinking and awareness for the masses. Portraying Buddha in his deep meditative moment is only possible through the process of meditation. She has always encouraged thought provoking subjects in her paintings, which discover hidden dimension of culture, Spirituality and mediation in unconventional way.

Her paintings of cosmic fusion series are one of the best realistic portrayals on the state of being in our world as illusions of life and expectation of instant gratification have clouded the human awareness.
For some it could seem to be a little bit strange and weird, alien... But the reality in which we live is, something strange and weird. Her painting simply help us to endure and gives hope for the peaceful moment of our lives…

In her recent exhibition in March 2008 at Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi, Pratiksha launched her Upanishad Collections. Former national security advisor Shri Brajesh Mishra inaugurated the show.
Sh.Mishra said,” Pratiksha is depicting the life philosophy on the canvas and challenging the world to understand it.”

While painting shlokas of the Upanishads, as Pratiksha knew, how to bring life into this simple arrangement of Sanskrit words without disconcerting its chanting qualities. She also knew how to turn the traditional poem of the Vedic sages and saints into real and living beings through meditative energy. In most of her works she did not even sacrifice the variety and individuality of real life. Through precise touches of brush strokes and use of vibrant colors, she brings a completely new dimension in her spiritual art.

In her past solo exhibition in AIFACS Delhi on 1st Feb. 2007, Pratiksha won many rave reviews from art connoisseurs and art critics. Former Prime Minister Shri. Atal Bihari Vajapayee was engrossed to see her work. “Pratiksha’s paintings compel one to think and offer a different vision,” said Vajpayee while inaugurating exhibition. Shri. Vajpayee congratulated Pratiksha for painting Spiritual Journey of meditator on the canvas.
“Pratiksha, I would like to bow to you (Mai Tumhe Pranam Karna Chahta hu). I was not aware of your talent and did not know of the quantum of work that you have created. Your creations are thought provoking. Please continue your search (Sadhna).” He added.

In her Second series of Spiritual Odyssey exhibition at NCPA mumbai in Sep.2007, Pratiksha painted the Osho’s wisdom on Canvas, which won wide accolades by art connoisseurs. Smt. Nita Ambani, President, Dhiru Bhai Ambani foundation, who inaugurated the exhibition, was all praise for Pratiksha, who, she said, is multi-talented. “ I feel honored to be here. All your paintings have spiritual fragrance and you seem to be surrounded by spirituality yourself.” She said to Pratiksha.
She is the first artist, whose effort seems to be the collective document of experiential spiritual paintings. With her, moments in meditation and deep experience of silence can be felt in the collection expressed through the depth of colors and a close-knit relationship between the creator and the creation.
As she says,” nature touches all of us with its innocent beauty. We need to open our heart, our inner door of life to see how beautiful a moment of meditation could be.”

She has tried to define the journey of human existence and its ultimate goal through her paintings, where lines do not merely limit a facade but touch the shape and model it by their very direction and comparative energy, which need no analysis. Pratiksha says, “ Each of my paintings is an effort to express the inexpressible and to offer a glimpse of ‘what is’ to any potential seeker regardless of their conforming to any stream of religion or path.”
