This Labor Day weekend, spend some time indoors with Jon Dore, the host of The Jon Dore Television Show on Canada’s Comedy Network. On September 4th and 5th, Jon will be bringing his unique, lackadaisical humor to the Comix stage, fresh off of his appearance at the 2009 Montreal Just for Laughs Festival and being named one of Variety’s Top Ten Comics to Watch in 2009.
Jon Dore spent years honing his quick wit on Canadian television, co-hosting a show called Daytime on Rogers Television, winning an Impression Award for Best On-Air Personality in 2001. He is most known for his hilarious correspondent segments on Canadian Idol, which led to his own mockumentary-style show The Jon Dore Television Show. He appeared on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham in 2008.
