On August 11th, Comix invites you to spend some time with one of New York’s hottest comedians, Kumail Nanjiani! You’ve seen him playing himself on the Comedy Central show Michael and Michael Have Issues, now you can see why he earned the title of Best Male Standup of 2008 at the ECNY awards!
Kumail’s infectious energy and unusual stories about topics like growing up in Pakistan and video games have been seen all over the city, as well as on tour with Stella, Eugene Mirman and Zack Galifianakis. He recently performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and you may have even caught him playing Homer, the prisoner under the desk, on The Colbert Report. He’s also been seen in his critically acclaimed one man show “Unpronounceable" and his popular video game talk/sketch show called "Game Bros. LIVE!" at the UCB Theater. He signed on as a writer for the Comedy Central show Michael and Michael Have Issues and ended up becoming a recurring character on the show. Get in on seeing Kumail in an intimate setting while you still can!
