On February 9th, Comix will be hosting two of the hottest up and coming comics in New York when MTV’s Joe Mande and Saturday Night Live’s Hannibal Buress each spend half an evening with you. These two have some of the most intelligent and original voices in comedy, and we’re lucky to have them on our stage for one night only.
Joe Mande has been named the Best New Comedian by Time Out New York, and was also featured on Heeb Magazine’s “100 Jews to Watch” list, and now you can see why. He has written for several MTV shows, appeared on Vh1’s Best Week Ever as well as Comedy Central, and his blog, Look at this F*cking Hipster, has been made into a book that will be released in March of 2010. He is one of the hardest working, best performers in town.
Hannibal Buress surprises audiences around the country with his quiet, unassuming delivery of such hilarious material. He’s appeared on The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Comedy Central. He is now a writer for Saturday Night Live, and was named by New York Magazine as one of the top ten “Comics to Watch.” He is also one of the featured subjects in a documentary about unconventional black comedians called The Awkward Kings of Comedy.
