Spencer McGillicutty is a retro co-ed pop group that combines an eye for storytelling and wordplay with an ear for memorable melodies and complex harmonies. The group formed at St. John's University/The College of St. Benedict in 2004 over a common love of catchy, well written pop music, ranging from classic girl groups and doo wop, to 60s icons like The Beatles and The Beach Boys, to contemporary independent groups like Rilo Kiley and Belle and Sebastian.
