Mister Goodbar will be having another specialty beer night this Friday September 1 at 7pm. The featured beer is the Middle Ages Cask Conditioned Wailing Wench. A cask ale, or also called real ale, is a beer served from a stainless steel barrel called a firkin. They are best served at 50 to 57°F, and are made to be laid on its side while the beer is served. The term "cask-conditioned" indicates that secondary fermentation of the ale has taken place inside the cask.

Brewer’s often "dry hop" their cask ales, adding hop plugs to the beer before the cask is bunged. To serve, excess carbonation is vented and a serving tap is hammered into a spout on the cask. A common trait of a cask conditioned ale is a much lower level of carbonation (that is creamy and smooth), than is usually found in American beers (which can be sharp).

Middle Ages Wailing Wench - Syracuse, New York - Dark and robust brewed in the style of a American strong ale, full bodied and screaming with hops.
