Special screening of Frost/Nixon and Q&A with Peter Morgan

Curzon Cinemas will be hosting an exclusive preview screening of FROST/NIXON followed by a Q&A with screenwriter and executive producer Peter Morgan.

After nearly twenty years writing television projects Peter Morgan emerged as the top talent in his field thanks to the success of The Deal (2004), which centred around the co-dependent relationship between Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. This success continued in 2006 with two critically acclaimed films, The Queen and The Last King of Scotland. Morgan has consistently demonstrated a gift for portraying public figures as real human beings involved in interesting and complex relationships; something he continued in the award winning play, and new feature film, Frost/Nixon.

FROST/NIXON
Director: Ron Howard
Starring: Frank Langella, Michael Sheen, Rebecca Hall. US 2008. 121 mins

Reprising their roles from Peter Morgan’s stage play are Langella, who won a Tony for his portrayal of Nixon, and Michael Sheen, who fully inhabited the part of Frost onstage in London and New York. Screenwriter Morgan, who’s racked up an impressive number of on screen portrayals of highly public figures (The Queen, The Last King of Scotland), here revisits the electrifying battle between Richard Nixon, the disgraced president with a legacy at stake, and David Frost a jet-setting television personality with a name to make. In summer 1977, the steely former commander-in-chief agreed to an interview with Frost and as the cameras rolled, a charged battle of wits ensued.
