Wings - The first feature film to receive a “Best Picture” Academy Award in 1927
This classic film about World War I aviators stars Clara Bow, Charles “Buddy” Rogers, Richard Arlen.  The film will be introduced by William Wellman, Jr. with a question and answer period to 
follow.

3:30 PM - Symposium 
Introduction by Shawna Kelly
Special presentation of Wild Bill: Hollywood Maverick (1995, Will Bill Productions, 93 minutes) produced by William Wellman, Jr. 
Sound effects and Wings, a talk by Ben Burtt

7:30 PM - Wings Film Showing -
 Showing - Jon Mirsalis will be playing his own original score with Ben Burtt creating the sound effects live.

Book Signings - There will be book signings throughout the afternoon and evening:  

- William Wellman, Jr. will be signing The Man and His Wings:  William A. Wellman and the Making of the First Best Picture, 

- Ben Burtt will be signing Star Wars Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide and Shawna Kelly will be signing Aviators in Early Hollywood 

Pricing: Wings (either 12 or 7:30 show) and Symposium: $40 for Members; $50 for Non-members.
Wings only (select either 12 or 7:30 show):  $30 for Members; $35 for Non-members. 
Symposium only:  $15 for Members; $20 for Non-members 

Since seating is limited, it is highly recommended that tickets be pre-ordered. Tickets are available on- line at www.nilesfilmmuseum.org (a small
