James Johann’s self-deprecating comedy began with a rural upbringing laden with bad haircuts, country music and heavy doses of Catholic school. More “brain” than profane, James’s high-energy act weaves through undeniable life truths as the veteran comic sees them, and universal themes of failure.

James has performed at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, appeared on CMT, Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and featured in clubs, casinos and theaters cross-country on The Slackers Tour.
