Pam began making pottery as a child. Her great aunts and fellow traditional Taos Pueblo potters and tribal members, Josephine Ortiz and Anita Lujan, inspired her. She uses clay that she digs and processes herself to make her coil built pots. She uses Taos micaceous clay for her traditional pots and various native clays for her contemporary pots. The program will include lecture and demonstration of pottery making by the artist. Lujan-Hauer’s pottery, jewelry and statues will be available for purchase.
