In partnership with almost a dozen organizations, SPARC (the School of Performing Arts in the Richmond Community) is producing and directing LIVE ART, a 20-week educational program for students with and without special needs, which will culminate with a major public concert featuring these students and prominent Virginia musicians.

Taking place on June 3, 2012, this unique concert event at Richmond's premiere Carpenter Theatre will feature children of all abilities (with and without special needs), performing alongside soulful singer-songwriters Steve Bassett, Susan Greenbaum, and Jesse Harper; saxophonist and conductor Samson Trinh (Upper East Side Big Band); jazz vocalist Terri Simpson; stellar singer and banjoist Josh Small; Independent Music Award winner Robbin Thompson; and more.

Along with these renowned performers, singer-songwriter and Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz--a SPARC alumnus--nationally recognized keyboardist Daniel Clarke (Modern Groove Syndicate and k.d. lang), and producer Tim Timberlake have contributed as artistic advisors.
