“What Sharon Jones did for oldschool soul, what Antibalas did for Afrobeat and what Chicha Libre is doing for chicha, Spanglish Fly is doing for bugalu. . . . It’s about time somebody brought this stuff back and it’s a good thing it’s this band because they have authentic sabor” – Lucid Culture

SPANGLISH FLY arrives at SOB’s! New York’s premier band for Latin soul and boogaloo makes its debut at the legendary NYC hotspot. The 11-piece band brings its mix of mambo and Motown at midnight of July 16th and play two long sets deep into the night! Along the way their five brassy horns, swing bass and piano, and sizzling 3-piece percussion section will serve up boogaloo classics and originals that update Latin soul for the next generation. Plus: their divine lead singer offers up free boogaloo dance lessons.
