About Melanie Schlossberg:
Through depictions of plants, animals and stars Melanie’s work explores cycles of kinesis and stasis, patterns of growth and change, and meditations on vulnerability and the passage of time. Her current project includes a series of illustrations of the classical constellations using a contemporary sensibility while respecting the ancient heritage of the stars. She has a BFA in Metalsmithing from Syracuse University, NY. Her work, flat and dimensional, has been shown in galleries throughout the United States. Melanie resides in Houston, TX where she runs a fine and graphic arts studio and is part of the marketing department at the Houston based art consulting firm, Skyline Art Services, which focuses on the healthcare industry and the healing aspects of artwork.
