Souvenir - a play with music by Stephen Temperley pays homage to the career of Florence Foster Jenkins, a wealthy tone-deaf society eccentric, who could not hit a note or carry a tune. She lived blissfully under the delusion that she was a great soprano and believed that she was blessed with great musical gifts that she desperately needed to share with the world.

Souvenir, tells Madame Foster Jenkins’ story through the eyes of her strangely tortured but ultimately admiring accompanist and confidante, Cosmé McMoon, played by GREGORY GJURICH.
MARY KATE O’CONNELL, reprises her award winning character of Florence Foster Jenkins - 2008 Best Actress Artie Award for GLORIOUS!
Souvenir is directed by JAVIER BUSTILLOS.

Jenkins’ legendary charity recitals in the ballroom of the Ritz Carlton Hotel and other New York venues brought her extraordinary fame. As news of her singing spread, so did her celebrity Audiences fought to get into her recitals and Mrs. Jenkins naively mistook their muffled laughter for cheers. Her ultimate achievement was a 1944 Carnegie Hall concert, which shockingly sold out in only 2 hours (over 2000 disappointed “music lovers” were turned away!)
