Southwick (D-Day Village) Armed Forces Day June 23, 2012

Southwick Village has a long association with the military stationed at nearby Southwick Park. It was in Southwick House that Eisenhower and Montgomery planned the D-Day landings in secret.
The village community are keen to express their support for the Services in general and Southwick Park in particular. To this end for the last 3 years, Southwick Village has invited the military to join them in celebrating AFD. A parade and salute, followed by a church service and refreshments will take place.
