Arizona’s Largest Music Awards Show and Pink and Purple Afterparty Set to Ignite Symphony Hall:

S.W.U.M.A. unites the entertainment industry on July 10th, 2011 with plans to double last year’s 800 person attendance.
Home of Cece Peniston, Jordan Sparks and Adina Howard, Phoenix, AZ has garnered the national spotlight for decades as a city of undeniable talent.

This year, the distinguished S.W.U.M.A panel extends the Southwest Urban Music Award’s highest honors to both hip hop Pioneer Mike Millz and Educator / Historian Dr. Matthew Whitaker via a mixture of celebrity guest, live musical performances and comedy relief - all beginning with a red carpet moment.

Created as a business network and social industry event, S.W.U.M.A. addresses Arizona’s need for ongoing assistance in achieving collective goals in the music business.

The 7pm show kick off will welcome some very special attendees this year, as over 300 tickets are being given away to YMCA's, BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB, HOMELESS HONEY'S and other non profit organizations that have made contributions in helping out youth.

Event Producers FREEZTV and DGREATHOUSE PRODUCTIONS state, "The award show will be done in EPIC fashion, giving a complete visual and media art extravaganza. This event allows talent to perform at the level of a celebrity entertainer / performer.
The Symphony Hall located downtown Phoenix delivers the unique award show environment sought to provide the elegance required for an event of such honor. The demand for the award show has been phenomenal, and attendance will more than double the 800 participants that attended in 2010.”
State of the art Symphony Hall will showcase local talent ranging from business professionals and graphic designers to singers, rappers, educators and humanitarians.

Over 30 nominees have been selected via 20 categories ranging from Best Live Performance to Artist of the Year.

VIP and General Admission tickets are available for pre-sale online for $15 GA, $20 VIP or for $20 and $30 at the Symphony Hall box office. For additional information, please visit www.southwesturbanmusicawards.com or www.freeztvradio.com.
