Our season ends with a series of concerts in collaboration with the Shumei Arts Fellowship celebrating its 10th anniversary. Confronting Silence: the Music of Toru Takemitsu will include films, symposiums and discussions with Takemitsu’s niece and nephew Haruno Kira and Kouji Shitara. Our first concert juxtaposes Takemitsu with music from the Baroque era. The second concert contains pieces from his vast Waterscape series.
