This exhibit features work by William Edmondson, the first African American artist to be given a one-man exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in 1929. Also on display are pieces created by Bessie Harvey, Nellie Mae Rowe, Howard Finster, Kevin McCarthy and Minnie Adkins.
