Southend-on-Sea Armed Forces Day June 27, 2009

We are absolutely delighted to announce that General Sir Richard Dannatt has accepted an invitation to attend our event, and will be taking the salute of the Veteran's parade, along with the Mayor of Southend. The Band of the Adjutant General Corps has also been allocated to us and will lead the parade down the High Street to the Seafront.

Throughout the weekend there will be a host of entertainment, from arena performances, Southend Radio Roadshow, challenges like tug of war and Ready Steady Cook, to climbing walls, children's arts and crafts and the climax of the weekend being a flypast from the Red Arrows.
