South FIRST FRIDAYS - an eclectic evening of arts and culture in downtown San Jose's SoFA District to be held every First Friday of the month.

For the past 5 years, Anno Domini has hosted First Friday art openings with artists receptions infused with music and performances in our "off the beaten path of downtown" warehouse space. Upon our decision to move to our new location at 366 South First Street, we immediately recognized the potential of an epic First Friday in which all of the art venues in the SoFA district would join us with late night hours and special events to create a synergetic evening of art and culture, free and open to the public.

And so it begins First Friday February 3rd, 2006 at 8pm. A new tradition of First Fridays, christened "South FIRST FRIDAYS". Each venue has a unique personality and place of importance in San Jose's art and cultural scene; together we hope to expand the art going public's experience by providing a casual, easy access flow between all the venues.

The SoFA District is home to some of downtown's best offerings of arts, dining and entertainment. We imagine people will look forward to First Friday each month; dinner at one of the fine restaurants, intense perusing of engaging art exhibits, then meet up for drinks and dancing at one of lively night spots.
