South Bend Symphony Orchestra: Russian Dreams January 22, 2011

Much of Borodin's music was used in the musical 'Kismet' and 'Polovtsian Dance' was completed by Rimsky-Korsakov after the death of Borodin. Tchaikovsky's 'Violin Concerto' will be performed by the SBSO Concertmaster, Zofia Glashauer. This work is one of the best known of all violin concertos and it is also considered to be among the most technically difficult works for the violin. This is a chance to enjoy an evening of three popular Russian composers.
