With a peppering of hints and tips throughout, the seminar will focus on overcoming obstacles and recognising and steering clear of costly mistakes.

Session 2: GLOBAL SUPPLIERS
Managing supplier relationships: how to build effective partnerships with suppliers who can take your business forward. How to progressively increase the positive benefits for workers and reduce the impact on the environment. Understand where to start your search for global suppliers, how to find those viable for your business and the business tactics to use when approaching them. How to overcome sourcing issues, such as limitations of sourcing smaller quantities.

Session 3: SUPPLY CHAINS
An examination of different types of supply chains, including case studies of "ethical" supply chains and a more in-depth look at common types, such as low carbon supply chains. Exploring both SME’s and big businesses that have proven what is possible in relation to minimal energy use, improved working conditions and better workers’ rights throughout the production process.

Session 4: SOURCING & PRODUCING PRODUCTS GLOBALLY: AFRICA
The challenges and opportunities of sourcing and producing products to high ethical standards in Africa. An introduction to the cultural, political and tax differences between countries within Africa, this session will consider examples of businesses that are sourcing and producing fashion products to ethical standards in these areas.
