The largest environmental film festival in North America comes to San Francisco for two days of film, multi-media performance, live music, food, drinks, and discussions about our connection to the California salmon crisis – and real world solutions to recover our wild salmon heritage. Join us at the CounterPULSE community arts center in San Francisco Friday July 18 (7pm-11pm) and Saturday July 19 (4pm workshop on the salmon crisis, 6pm cocktail hour, 7pm-11pm main program). Source to Sea features a host of Bay Area talent including: well known bay area performance artist and author Kirk Read, storytelling by legendary HIV/AIDS activist and education Ed Wolf, live earth-loving-astro-labor-funk-folk music by Sean Burns, and a special presentation by Chris Carlsson, the founder of Critical Mass. Featured films include: an exploration of trans-species communication in Edge of Eden: Living with Grizzlies, the 35-year evolution of Greenpeace in Greenpeace: Making a Stand, learning where the world's plastics end up in Alphabet Soup, the American obsession with the residential lawn in Gimme Green, Martin Litton and his inspiring life of activism and success in Good Fight, and many more.
