Sounds of Scandinavia, VYSO Senior Orchestra May 22, 2007

One of Vancouver’s best kept secrets, the VYSO is proud to present its first-ever Piano Competition winner, 19 year old Victoria native, Margit Lai Wun Juhasz, student of Jane Coop. Ms. Juhasz will perform Grieg’s popular Piano Concerto in A minor with the VYSO Senior Orchestra in the Sounds of Scandinavia, music of Sibelius and Grieg.

Special guest Beth Orson of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra will be featured on the english horn in Sibelius's Legends: The Swan of Tuonela. Other highlights include Finlandia, Karelia Suite and Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 with the Senior Orchestra under the direction of Roger Cole. Come one and all!
