SOUND SCENE II: CARTOGRAPHIES AND CONFESSIONALS
The DC Listening Lounge invites you to an evening of sound so rich, your other senses will be jealous. This group of local producers and sound enthusiasts will explore the places and secrets of Washington, DC in sound through performances, an audio map of DC, and a confessional booth where visitors can tell their own secrets and stories.
Live music and sound art performances will occur throughout the evening. Sean Peoples and Layne Garrett are among DC’s most active sound artists. Their work melds melodies of traditional instruments with found sounds. At SOUND SCENE II they will lead a collective of local musicians and sound artists, including Equinox, Caroline Mayorga, All Violet, and Black Snake in the Daisy Patch.
